DENVER
SALVATION ARMY’S
EMERGENCY DISASTER
SERVICES TO DEPLOY
KITCHEN TRAILER TO
UTAH MINE DISASTER
The

more services to miners
and families
What:
DENVER -- The Salvation
Army's
Emergency Disaster Services
(EDS) is deploying
a kitchen trailer to
Utah Mine Disaster.
Mike Gelski, The Salvation
Army Metro Denver EDS
Coordinator, will be
driving the vehicle
to the location today,
Wed., August 15. Since
August 9, 2007, The
Salvation Army's
EDS in Salt Lake City
command has served
over 1,600 meals, averaging
more than 300 meals
per day to emergency
workers and volunteers
responding to the trapped
Utah miners
in Huntington. "The
Salvation Army will
be in Huntington as
long as we're
needed,
said Gelski. "We
will be serving
over 750 meals per
day to the miners,
emergency workers
and families of
the miners."?
Where:
The Salvation Army's
warehouse, 1901 29th
St., Denver, CO. (Brighton
Blvd. and 29th St.)
will be loading an EDS
kitchen trailer, which
will be deployed today
to Huntington, Utah.
When:
Today, Wed., Aug. 15,
from 10:45 a.m. to 11:00
a.m.
Who:
The Salvation Army's
Emergency Disaster Services
Why:
To provide more EDS equipment
in response to the Utah
mine disaster in Huntington,
Utah.
Activities:
EDS volunteers and personnel
will be loading the EDS
kitchen trailer; also,
Mike Geliski will be
the spokesperson for
interviews.
