The Salvation Army Technology Center offers free computer-based classes for adults, seniors and youths. The LEAP (Life skills Education Achievement Program) focuses on basic computer skills in Microsoft Office programs.

The classes are designed to teach the fundamentals in Microsoft applications including basic classes in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. These are good classes for people who would like to learn basic application skills.

The LEAP program also encompasses topics such as creating resumes, cover letters and thank-you letters in MS word and how to search for a job and post a online. In addition to LEAP classes, the technology center offers classes on basic computer applications and how to use the Internet.

The senior class objectives are basic computer and Internet skills plus intermediate classes in email and online games for seniors.

Summer youth classes focus on fun activities such as making a graphic t-shirt or being an online graffiti artist.

The technology center is also open to the communityfor free computer access.
The technology center’s computers are loaded with MS Office Suite, plus have Internet connection and printing capabilities. There is a technology instructor on staff during the open lab time to answer general computer and Internet questions.
